Americas Cardroom is one of the few places where US citizens can play poker, so it’s really exciting to see that the poker room is currently working on a mobile product for iPhone, Windows Phone and of course Android. There are not many details about it yet, but some screenshots were recently published which look promising. Americas Cardroom also supports bitcoin, making it super easy for US players to deposit and play real money poker.

Games Supported
The good news is that Americas Cardroom will include most of the games available in their mobile application. There is a screenshot of the cash games lobby and you will be able to choose between No Limit, Pot Limit and Fixed Limit tables. Texas Hold'em will certainly be included, but there are no clear indications whether Omaha or Stud will be available. In terms of table sizes, there will be all possible formats from heads up to full ring.
Screenshots of the tournament lobby show the various limits you can choose from as well as a filter for guaranteed, satellites, special, freerolls and live events. Here it’s clear to see that Pot Limit Omaha tournaments will be included as there is one available on the screenshot of the lobby. The current BetOnline U.S. poker app also offers tournaments.
The hyper turbo Jackpots are becoming a hit in Americas Cardroom, so it’s no surprise to see them as well. Once again, both Texas Holdem and Omaha will be available at Americas Cardroom Mobile. The notable miss in the screenshots are the SNG tournaments. It is not yet clear if they will be part of the Americas Cardroom mobile application.

Design and Buttons

The design of most screenshots looks really good at a first glance and the buttons should be big enough to play even on the smallest of smartphones. Our only reservation is the poker tables seem a little cluttered. It looks like Americas Cardroom decided to include lots of stuff there, including avatars, some sliders and many buttons. This could be a bit of an issue, but it’s too early to know for sure. The overall impression is great, though, and it seems the poker room’s design team did a great job.
Conclusion
The signs are definitely good and we’re eagerly expecting to see the Americas Cardroom mobile app out soon. It will provide a great opportunity to play poker on a phone or tablet from the USA which is a rarity nowadays. One of the big remaining questions is what platforms will be supported. Since the Americas Cardroom app will be browser based it should work on Microsoft Lumia, iPhone or any Android device like a Samsung Galaxy or Sony Xperia.
Americas Cardroom Overview
Americas Cardroom is part of the Winning poker network and is one of the best places to play online poker from the USA. It’s not as good as the likes of PokerStars and 888 Poker for example, but it’s still a pretty solid choice in most aspects.
The cash tables offered include Texas Hold’em, Omaha Hi, Omaha Hi Lo and two types of Studs. If you are playing No Limit Texas Hold’em or Pot Limit Omaha Hi, there will be enough traffic, so most players should be happy. The other games run rarely, with some Omaha Hi Lo action on rush hours. It’s important to note that the level of the players is rather low which is one of the biggest advantages of Americas Cardroom. The same applies to the tournaments, STGs and Jackpots that you can play. Once again, there is a decent traffic and unless you are some grinder wanting to put insane volume, you’re good.
The promotion for new players is a welcome package of 100% up to $1,000 deposit bonus and up to $50 tourney bucks. The former equals 20% rake back which is standard for the industry. The tourney bucks are a great promo as you can get about $50 even with the smallest qualifying deposit which is $25. It’s a superb value as you can enter 2 daily tournaments with them, for $500 and $1,000 guaranteed. The structure is a bit wicked as the second one has like 5 hours late registration, but I played it 6 times and there is always overlay and lots of fish. I managed to actually cash three times for like $10-15 each. Almost forgot – the tourney bucks are given on a daily basis, so don’t forget to login and claim them each day! If you miss one, you can’t get the tourney bucks for it later.
At the most US poker rooms, the banking options are a bit limited, but in Americas Cardroom, you can use credit and debit cards, e-wallets and even Bitcoin for both deposits and withdrawals. For the latter, you will have to send proof of identity and address, though.
The overall impression is good despite some minor issues like the fact they insist on using Internet Explorer for some reason :D The promotions are cool, there is enough traffic for most of the games, there are enough payment methods and I would definitely try their mobile app once it’s out. I haven’t talked to the support yet, but there are a live chat and a phone available, so it should be fast as well.
